At the heart of Vescovana's tourist identity is Villa Pisani Bolognesi Scalabrin, a historic residence dating back to the 16th century, surrounded by extensive grounds that were transformed during the 19th century into a garden of romantic, exotic taste. The decisive turning point came in 1852, when Evelina arrived in Vescovana with a cosmopolitan cultural background blending English, Flemish and Turkish-Ottoman influences, and decided to reinvent the garden as her own personal space, introducing stone peacocks to guard the house and choosing the tulip, a flower that reminded her of Istanbul, as the garden's symbolic element.
